Hi!
My name is François Pommiez
I am a creative from the island of Moorea.
I use traditional mediums such as watercolor, colored inks and colored pencils to create my works. My creative universe is influenced by tropical nature and the ocean that surrounds me. The soft and sensual lines that I draw are guided in a mystical way by a search for rhythm, balance and harmony;
this is what I call "the search for" FLOW ".
My style was nourished by Franco-Belgian manga and comics from my childhood and doped with animation cinema.
I studied at the École supérieure des Métiers Artistiques de Montpellier with 1 year of Applied Arts in Visual Communication and Architecture.
Then 3 years in 3D animation cinema cycle.
I am co-directing the short film "Hugh", awarded at the prestigious Annecy Animation Film Festival in the graduation film category in 2008. I work as a 3D graphic designer in the animation cinema sector in France then 2 years in Belgium before returning to Polynesia in 2012.
I am currently working as a Director, 2D / 3D graphic designer / and illustrator. I was Professor of Drawing and 3D Graphics for 5 years at the Poly3D School.
I now want to focus on personal and artistic projects.
I love to play the guitar, paint and surf.
